Complaining to a company...
Instead of just throwing it away, I kept the packaging and called Kraft. They were very quick to apologize and offer me a form of reimbursment.
This is just a reminder to all that if you come across a product that you are not 100% satisfied with, do not be afraid to either call or email the company. I have also done this with Uncle Ben's, Huggies and a few others due to mold, diaper tabs falling off, and such. Most companies will offer you either a refund check or a coupon for a free item to replace the one you did not like.

GREAT deal on Robitussin!
You can print a $3/1 coupon good on Robitusion HERE
Also, we should be getting a $3/1 printed coupon in the coupon inserts Sunday!
There is a deal starting Sunday at CVS:
Buy any 2, and receive $3 ECB's! There is a limit of 5 deals...
You would buy 2 @ $4.99 which would total @ $9.98
Use TWO $3/1 coupons, either printed or from the paper..
You would pay $3.98 for two, and receive a $3 ECB's!
THEN, you can use that same $3 ECB to pay for more Robitussin in another transaction!
That would look like this:
Buy 2 = $9.98
Use 2 $3/1 coupons= $3.98
Use $3 ECB coupon= .98
You would then pay ONLY .98 and still get back another $3 ECB - For a $2.02 moneymaker!
You can then keep doing this until you do the deal 5 times, or you run out of coupons!
*ECB's are coupons printed at the register for buying select items every week. You can use them like cash, purchasing other items you want or using them to "roll" into other items that produce ECB. The point of doing this is to minimize your out of pocket expense!

FREE Suave at Walgreens!
*Register Rewards is the Walgreens in-store program. When you buy participating items, you will receive one at checkout through the catalina machine. They do have an expiration date. The can then be "rolled" into another item that produces Register Rewards, to minimize your out of pocket expense. HOWEVER, you can not use the Register Reward to buy the same product again, as another catalina will NOT print. And, you can not buy multiples of an item expecting to get the same Register Reward. You would have to do separate transactions in order get more Register Rewards.
*Please read the fine print if this is your first time using Register Rewards, as there are some exclusions listed on the coupon of what it can be redeemed on.
Now, I know this may seem like a lot to take in for first time users, but trust me, it is easy to figure out and you will love being able to "roll" them once you do.
Good luck!

Check your Target!
The Dollar Spot in the area located near the front of the store, where they have items priced at $1 or $2.50. There are different colored dots on each tag, and Target will often have one color being marked down. If there is a color marked down, it should say which color on the clearance signs.
I hope you are able to find this at your store!
What does frugal living mean to you?
Personally, for me -
*You live within your means.
*You plan and budget.
*You allow yourself to splurge, within reasons.
*You are always looking for ways to save or make things last longer or go further.
*You take control of your finances.
*You get creative whenever you can, constantly trying to better your financial situation.
I guess that some of these do not necessarily go along with frugal living, but this is how my family lives.
I advise anyone who is just starting to live frugally, that it does not happen over night. It does take time, though there are decisions you make every day that can change your situation, both big and small. You do not have to eliminate everything - You can allow yourself to splurge. But, you have to be realistic about everything and honest with yourself.
Happy saving to everyone!

Donation Day - From Fry's To Food Bank
Fry's is having a Mega Sale right now. When you buy 10 participating items, you will get .50 off each of those items. You have to buy 10, though they can be mix and match.
I donate to the United Food Bank - They have a huge distribution warehouse only a few miles away from me. Their facility is clean, well maintained and I can see what an impact they are having within our community. They also help out the smaller food banks throughout our area. I also love them because they take all kinds of food items - Shelf stable, produce, refrigerated and frozen. Not all food banks do that.
I picked up:
10 Smart Balance Milks $1.99/each
10 Ronzoni Pasta Boxes .39/each
3 Honest Tea/Ade Bottles $1.00/each
3 Zone Perfect Nutritional Bars $1.00/each
3 6 Packs of Flavored Bottled Water $2.00/each
1 Corn Flakes Box .49/each
I had 10 $1.50/1 Smart Balance Milk coupons, which made the milks only .49!
The Ronzoni I paid the sale price for, so $3.90 for 10 boxes!
I had 3 .50/1 Honest Tea/Ade coupons that went up to $1 (My Fry's makes all coupons worth $1)

I had 2 .55/1 Flavored Bottled Water coupons that went up to $1 (My Fry's makes all coupons worth $1)
The Corn Flakes were on clearance for .49.
I also threw in a bottle of water for me :)
In total with tax, I paid: $13.41

Organic Stonyfield YoToddler Coupon
You can print a $1/1 Organic Stonyfield YoToddler coupon, which will help offset the price!
This is widely available from what I have seen. It may print "Available at Walmart" on the coupon - However, this does NOT mean that you have to use it there. It is telling you that it is available there, but you do not have to go there. Now, if it said "Redeemable Only At" then you would have to. I hope this helps clear up this funny wording!
20 oz. Dr. Pepper Ten BOGO coupon!
You can get a Buy One Get One Free coupon for a 20 oz. of Dr. Pepper TEN!
On this particular website, you can print two of each coupon per computer. If you have additional computers, then you can get more.

Spent $30 - Saved $135!
I spent $30 and saved $135!
The key to my trip this time was PLANNING! I wrote out my list and rewrote it a couple times to make sure that the numbers added up right. My goal was to stay under $40, so I reached my goal. Ever since I started really planning my trips out, I have drastically cut the amount of money I spend out of pocket. This is one of the most important thing I think there is to grocery couponing - Planning your trips!
Good luck on your trips and hope you score some awesome deals this week!
Where are you shopping this week?
Don't forget your coupons!
If you want to see what to expect, you can check out Sunday Coupon Preview..
It looks like we should be getting a total of 2 coupon inserts - Hope you find some that you like!
And, if you want multiples of certain coupons but don't want to pay for additional papers, you can always try Ebay or a coupon clipping site. Coupon clipping sites are where you can pay a fee for certain coupons, such as a $1/1 for .07 each or something similar. There are a lot of different sites out there, with all different pricing. So, check around and do your homework on the site.
The one that I have used in the past is Dede -
I don't use her very often anymore, just because I prefer Ebay. However, when I do choose a clipping site, I usually check her prices and availability first.

School supplies at Target
The 24 count crayons are priced at .25, the 10 count markers and the 12 count colored pencils are priced at .52 -
Due to Target not allowing overage, you can buy 2 things of crayons and 1 of the markers or colored pencils - After coupon, you would only pay .02!
You can get 3 crayons and get them for free, but the associate would have to "adjust the coupon down" - This means they would only take .75 off of your order and not the full $1 amount.
*Some of the ones I got are going to be donated to a back to school drive.
.14 - Money Maker Almay At Walmart!
The Almay 15 count makeup remover wipes are priced at $1.14 at Walmart right now.

Writing companies!
Many companies will send you some coupons if you write them, email them or call! I recently emailed about 15 companies, which took me only about 20 minutes. So far, 5 of the companies have sent me coupons! Some were for free products, and some were for dollar off amounts.
You can either write them with compliments, or if you are not satisfied or have a concern, write that! You can come right out and ask for coupons, or just send them a note and see what happens.
To get started, think about products that you often use or would like to try. If you need some more guidance, you can look through your cabinets or refrigerator to help you come up with some companies. For me, it's easier to just email as it is quicker and doesn't require any stamps.
If you don't want to get a lot of emails to your regular email account, you can set up a different one that you can email companies through and sign up for free samples. That way, your normal account will stay uncluttered.
Good luck!

50% off combo at AMC Theaters!
Enjoy!
Are you shopping at CVS this week?
You can buy Dove shampoo or conditioner at 2/$6. Now, this isn't the best price. However, we have a $3/2 coupon from a previous insert AND when you spend $15, you will receive $5 ECB's!
So, you should buy 6 which will equal $18. The 6th one is basically free after coupon, so that's why you are going to $18 instead of lower. Use 3 $3/2 coupons. Pay $9 and receive $5 in store credit!
The best part? The limit is NOT 1 like stated in the ad! So, you can roll that $5 credit into more and more and more!

What has been your latest splurge?
Splurging is okay, as long as it is not done all the time and it does not put you too far back. You have to splurge a little, and I firmly believe that it keeps you happy and more on track to your financial goals. Subway to us was a reasonable splurge. Sometimes, we may splurge for a $1 Redbox movie. Or, a $4 Starbucks drink. It just depends. But, we make sure to not do it very often and we do not lose track of our financial goals and our plan to get there.
Depending on your goals and your financial status will help you to determine what amount of splurging is okay. Some may be able to afford a bigger splurge, while others can't.
So whatever your splurge is, enjoy and don't lose track of those goals!

Hello, everyone!

2 Free CVS Vitamins!
When I scanned my card at the coupon scanner, I received a coupon for a free bottle of kid's gummy vitamins. The value was slightly under $7. The store was also having a Buy One Get One Free promotion on all their CVS brand vitamins. The coupon paid for one bottle, and the sale paid for the other!
So, I ended up with 2 bottles for FREE!
If you still have this coupon, be sure to check and see because I am almost certain the sale is still going on!
Frugal Meal!
Tonight, we had chicken burgers. Not something that we have often, but it ended up being pretty frugal.
Target - FREE Rose Art crayons after sale and coupon!
Even better yet, we received a $1/3 coupon in the inserts yesterday.
This means that you can get 3 packs of crayons for FREE!
Target does not traditionally give you overage - They are supposed to "adjust the coupon down". This means that while your coupon is for $1, you are only purchasing .75 worth of items, so they would only take .75 off. Target will still get reimbursed for the full coupon amount, so they aren't out anything at all. It's actually better for them!
I have heard reports that there are other Rose Art items that would work, such as .25 glue sticks or a little higher in price glue bottles, markers, colored pencils...
If you did not receive this coupon or would like extras, you can try to trade for them, use a coupon clipping site or search on Ebay. I purchased 20 of these coupons for about $2 on Ebay.
This is an amazing donation item for kids going back to school or to be made directly to the school of your choice!
*Most of the crayons I am going to get will be donated to local schools through the donation boxes at Fry's.

My CVS finds!
At the first one, I found that they had a lot of their socks, underwear and hosiery marked down 25%-75%! I never thought to purchase these items from CVS; I never even realized they carried them!
The socks I purchased were on markdown to $2.49 for 10!
The fleece blanket was on clearance for $1.00!
The hosiery were marked down to $1.17 and they all had $1/1 coupons on them! So, I paid .17 each!
The deodorant were free after the CVS coupon that printed at the scanner!
I also purchased a drink that was free after the CVS coupon that printed at the scanner and a 24 pack of bottled water that was on sale and I used a CVS coupon.
My subtotal was $10.15 after sales, clearance, and coupons -
I saved: $50.12

Frugal is such an ugly word...
Just kidding! I love this, though... Makes me laugh. To me, being frugal does not necessarily mean that you are doing completely without or not living a "rich" life. There can be different meanings to being frugal, and some will take it to different lengths then others.
I can only speak for myself - I actually feel more rich now that I am frugal. Why? Because I feel like I am more in control of my finances, I have more of a stockpile, I often buy name brand items, and so forth. I feel like we have more money - Which, we do - And, more items to show for it!
Funny to me how that worked out!

$1.75/1 Bird's Eye Voila - Great coupon!
I'm putting together my list for Walmart!
I love that Walmart price matches. I rarely shop there unless I'm price matching something. They do not double coupons, so if I want a coupon to double, I stick with my Fry's grocery store. However, I am planning on getting some back to school deals, health and beauty and grocery items!
I will let you know what my list consists of as soon as I'm done!

Meal Planning
Meal planning is, quite simply, the act of planning your meals ahead of time. However, when it comes to coupons, this can be taken much further.
You can start meal planning by gathering your store's sales flyer and compare:
-What is on sale.
-What you have a coupon for.
-What you already have in your stockpile, refrigerator, freezer, cabinets...
Then, you plan your meals around this.
By doing this, you can dramatically cut down on your grocery budget. You do not have to plan what you are going to eat each specific day if you do not want to. But, if you want to have enough meals for one week, then plan out 7 different dinners and such.
Make sure that you include easier meals if you need them, such as if you will not have that much time to cook or need a break.
Free Visine for the troops!
I found some coupons at Walgreens for $2/1, with NO size restrictions. These small bottles are under $2, so they are free!
